Spray tans before boudoir: To embrace or avoid?
Ladies, let's talk about spray tans and boudoir photoshoots. As your boudoir photographer at Pink and Black Studios, I want to give you some advice on why you should think twice before getting a spray tan before your shoot.
Now, I know that many of us love having a sun-kissed glow, but when it comes to boudoir photography, a spray tan can actually do more harm than good. Here's why.
First of all, spray tans can sometimes look unnatural in photos. The color can appear too dark or orange, which can be distracting in the final images. Additionally, if the spray tan isn't applied evenly, it can create an uneven tone on your skin, which is difficult to edit out in post-production.
Another issue with spray tans is that they can rub off on your clothing or bedding, which can be a problem when you're posing in lingerie or other revealing outfits during your boudoir shoot. We don't want your beautiful garments to be ruined by a spray tan mishap!
If you absolutely must have a spray tan before your boudoir shoot, make sure to do so at least two days before your shoot. This will give the tan time to settle and any excess product to wear off. It's also important to shower twice after your spray tan to make sure that all of the excess product is removed from your skin. Finally, make sure you go somewhere that you've been before, you don't want to risk and try somewhere new.
But my advice? Embrace your natural skin tone! Every woman is beautiful in her own unique way, and your boudoir photos should showcase your natural beauty. Don't feel like you need to change your skin tone in order to feel confident and sexy.
At Pink and Black Studios, I believe in capturing the true essence of my clients. I want you to feel comfortable in your own skin and confident in your own beauty. I will work with you to create stunning, tasteful images that showcase your natural beauty and strength.
You're beautiful just the way you are!
